Pindamonhangaba was one of the first cities in Vale do Paraíba to be supplied with natural gas. The City Gate was completed in the latter part of 1998. Therefore, immediate gas supply is available.

CITY PLANNING

·          Pindamonhangaba has an approved Master Plan exclusively for the industrial areas. These areas amount to 12 million square meters and are located near major industries such as VILLARES – Indústria de Base S/A; NOVELIS do Brasil Ltda.; CONFAB Industrial S/A; CONFAB Revestimentos Ltda., and CONFAB Tubos S/A.

PARAIBA DO SUL RIVER

It is the largest river bathing Pindamonhangaba, and is formed by the confluence of Paraitinga and Paraibuna Rivers in the State of São Paulo. It runs across the entire Paraíba Valley and  Rio de Janeiro State passing through 170 cities, and finally flows into the Atlantic Ocean, totalling 800km.
